One hurt as blast hits tail of Maguindanao governor's convoy
An aide of a candidate for provincial board member was hurt after an improvised explosive went off as the convoy of Maguindanao Governor Bai Mariam Sangki-Mangudadatu passed Barangay Upper Nangi in Upi town late Monday afternoon.
The governor and her party were on their way home after a campaign sortie in nearby South Upi.
Maguindanao police provincial director Police Colonel Jibin Bongcayao identified the injured as Abdulraof Usman, 32, a resident of Datu Hoffer.
He is a member of the staff of board member bet Datu Nathaniel Midtimbang, whose car was at the tail of the convoy, which came from a campaign sortie
Mangudadatu was unscathed as her vehicle had passed and was 200 already meters away from where the blast happened.
Police investigation of the incident is still ongoing. -NB, GMA News
