Magnitude 5.3 quake recorded in Davao Oriental

A magnitude 5.3 earthquake shook Manay, Davao Oriental on Wednesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said.

The earthquake, tectonic in origin, occurred at 5:07 p.m.

Its epicenter was located at 06.30°N, 127.18°E - 123 km S 35° E of Manay, Davao Oriental.

The quake had a depth of 70 kilometers.

PHIVOLCS said no damage and aftershocks were recorded. — Mel Matthew Doctor/BM, GMA News
