Magnitude 6.2 quake jolts Manay, Davao Oriental

A magnitude 6.2 earthquake occurred off Manay, Davao Oriental early Thursday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

The earthquake, which occurred at 5:57 a.m., was tectonic in origin with a depth of 58 kilometers.

PHIVOLCS said there are no expected damage to infrastructure and no aftershocks.

Reuters reported that the US Tsunami Warning System said there was no warning after the earthquake. -- BAP, GMA News
