The suspect in the killing of a 24-year-old industrial engineer in Bulacan has admitted his crime, according to Mark Makalalad's report on Dobol B TV on Monday.
Citing Police Lieutenant Colonel Ferdinand Hermino, chief of Malolos Police, the report said suspect Darwin Hernandez made the admission in his sworn affidavit.
Hermino said Hernandez was drunk at the time he committed the crime and was planning to rob someone until he chanced upon the victim, Princess Dianne Dayor.
The suspect reportedly took Dayor's cellphone and tried to sell it.
Some of Dayor's belongings, including the cellphone and her IDs and ATM card, were recovered from Hernandez's house.
Dayor was on her way to work on the morning of July 2 when she was allegedly held up and killed by Hernandez. Her body was found on July 5 at a grassy area near the Guiguinto-Malolos border.
Hernandez is currently under the custody of Malolos Police. —KBK, GMA News
