Oil tanker truck rams center island, flips over in Silang Cavite

A fuel tanker truck slammed the center island of the Tagaytay-Sta Rosa Road, and flipped over falling on its side before dawn Sunday in Silang, Cavite, causing traffic flow to drag.

Interviewed on Super Radyo dzBB, Silang Municipal Disaster Risk and Reduction Management medical officer Mary Jon Bendon said the incident happened around 12 midnight on Tartaria Road near the Philippine National Police Academy.

Citing information from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bendon said the company of the oil tanker is currently coordinating with authorities to clear the area.

“As of 9 a.m., sabi ng imbestigador, on the way na ang mismong crane na bubuhat sa tanker,” she said.

(As of 9 a.m., investigators said, the crane that will lift the tanker is on the way.)
