Several road sections reduced to single lane due to landslides, road slip –DPWH

Several roads have only one passable lane due to landslides, road slip, and soil collapse, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced on Tuesday.

In a travel advisory, the DPWH said a portion of the Aglayan-Alanib-Ticalaan Road in Barangay Songco, Lantapan, Bukidnon had one lane passable due to a landslide.

The department advised motorists to take the road cautiously while clearing operations were ongoing.

The DPWH, meanwhile, said the sections of the following roads were also reduced to one lane due to rock and soil collapse:

  • Natalio Bacalso Ave. K0104+500 in Barangay Granada, Boljoon and K0119+250 in Barangay Hagdan, Oslob, Cebu
  • Cebu-Toledo Wharf Road K0019+200 - K0019+220 in Barangay Camp 4, Talisay City, Cebu

Road slip left only one passable lane in the following areas:

  • Carcar-Barili-Mantayupan Road K0044+220 in Barangay Guadalupe, Carcar City, Cebu
  • Cebu-Balamban Transcentral Highway K0015+683 - K0015+727 in Barangay Babag 2, Cebu City
  • Sibonga Dumanjug Road K0055+730 and K0055+750 in Barangay Lamacan, Sibonga, Cebu

“DPWH Quick Response Teams are clearing and implementing palliative measures along affected road sections,” the department said.
