Suspect in killing of woman in Baguio surrenders, admits tying up victim

One of the two suspects behind the killing of 22-year-old Juliet Bajar Hesim in Baguio has surrendered to the police.

According to Jeric Pasiliao's report on GMA Regional TV’s “One North Central Luzon”, suspect Reneval Ponce, 31, admitted to being under the influence of illegal drugs during the incident.

He said he tied the victim’s hands and put duct tape on her mouth but it was another man, alias Eminem, who killed the victim.

Hesim was found lifeless inside a garage in Barangay Alfonso Tabora on August 30.

Ponce turned himself over to the Manila Police District Homicide Division on September 7.

He was later transferred under the custody of the Baguio City Police (BCPD).

The BCPD said it would continue the investigation to identify Eminem.

“We will continue or the police station and other personnel will conduct  further investigation para po sa identity ng kasamahan niya,” BCPD Spokesperson Plt. Angeline Dongpaen said.

The victim’s remains have been buried but her family continues to cry for justice over her death. —Sundy Locus/NB, GMA News
