Construction worker finds 45 rounds of a grenade launcher in Cavite

At least 45 rounds of a M203 grenade launcher were recovered by a construction worker while digging a trench for a drainage system in Kawit, Cavite province, according to the police.

In the report on “Saksi”, the police said they were able to recover rounds of a grenade launcher in the area in the past. However, this is the largest number of explosives that were retrieved in recent years.

The authorities are conducting an investigation to determine whether the grenades were hidden, disposed of, or swept away in the waterways in the area.

The Philippine National Police, meanwhile, is coordinating with experts for the correct and safe disposal of the recovered explosives. -- Sundy Locus/BAP, GMA News
