Bustos Dam to release water due to Karding rains

Bustos Dam in Bulacan is expected to release excess water due to rains brought by Typhoon Karding, a report from dzBB said.

The dam's gate will be opened between 10:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. Sunday, and residents near the area are warned to prepare for possible flooding, the report added quoting National Irrigation Administration head Benny Antiporda.

Records from NIA in its social media page showed that as of 7 p.m., the reservoir elevation is at 16.80 meters, while its spilling level is at 17.35 meters.

Several areas in Bulacan are under Signal No. 5 due to Karding’s rains and strong wind.—LDF, GMA News
