Four-year-old girl raped in cornfield by suspect who offered her candies

A four-year-old girl was raped at a cornfield and was knifed to death in Bayambang, Pangasinan.

According to Joanne Ponsoy's report on GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon and Saksi, the suspect convinced the victim to go with him by offering her candies.

Investigators even saw candy wrappers at the scene of the crime.

The victim died as she reportedly had been knifed by the suspect.

"Sa pagkalap ng mga pieces of evidences, nakakita an gating ga imbestigador ng balat ng candy na tinitingnan nating anggulo na binigyan muna para sumama yung bata doon sa nasabi nating salarin," said Police Major Ria Tacderan, public information officer of the Pangasinan Provincial Police Office.

The victim's father is seeking justice.

"Siyempre masakit kasi anak ko yun hindi ko alam na mangyayari yun kaya sinisisi ko yimung sarili ko doon sa nangyari. sana mabigyan ng hustisya ito nangyaring ito, sana makulong habang buhay para hindi na matularan," he said.
