Pangasinan folk start 30-km trek to Manaoag
MANILA, Philippines - Several residents of Pangasinan province started before dawn of Maundy Thursday a 30-kilometer walk to Manaoag town as part of a religious tradition. Radio dzRH reported that the residents, most of them youths, were from Lingayen and Binmaley towns and were expected to arrive in Manaoag Thursday night. Many of the pilgrims started their trek at 5 a.m., carrying bottles of mineral water that they would use to fill with water from the church in Manaoag. The water from Manaoag is believed to have miraculous powers. - GMANews.TV
