42-year-old man nabbed for alleged rape of 3-year-old grandchild

A 42-year-old man was arrested in Sto. Tomas, Batangas, after allegedly raping his three-year-old granddaughter.

According to John Consulta's report on "24 Oras," the crime occurred at their house while the victim's mother was selling candles on Easter Sunday.

The suspect was nabbed in an operation conducted by Sto. Tomas, Batangas Police.

Based on the investigation, this was not the first time he raped the victim.

“Apparently, pangatlong beses na ginawa ng suspek. So talagang hindi po talaga katanggap-tanggap ‘yung ginawa niyang kababuyan sa biktima na three years old lang,” said Sto. Tomas Batangas Chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Rodel Ban-o.

The suspect did not deny the crime.

“Hindi ko ho alam kung paano ko po nagawa ‘yun. Ne, patawarin mo ako,” he said. —Sherylin Untalan/NB, GMA Integrated News
