4 killed, 8 injured in construction accident in Cebu

CEBU CITY, Philippines - Four people were killed and eight others injured after a three-storey building they were constructing in Cebu collapsed, radio dzBB reported Saturday. The names of those declared dead by the Balamban District Hospital (BDH) were not yet known. Two of the eight who were injured were transferred from BDH to a Cebu City hospital as they needed intensive treatment, the report said. It said that scores of construction workers are still pinned under rubbles of the building’s second floor, which collapsed around 3 p.m. Saturday. - Amita Legaspi, GMANews.TV
