Sarangani boxer wins fight in Cavite but slips into coma

A boxer from Sarangani fell unconscious and later slipped into a coma after winning his fight in Imus, Cavite.

According to the report on "Saksi" of GMA Regional TV One Mindanao's Abbey Caballero, Kenneth Egano won the bout via unanimous decision but fainted even before he was announced the winner.

Egano even hugged his oppenent Jason Facularin after they finished the eighth round.

He was brought to the hospital after he fainted.

Egano has been scheduled for surgery.

The organizers of the fight has promised to shoulder his hospital expenses.

His family is also already in Manila, where he had been admitted into a hospital. —NB, GMA Integrated News
