Body of Canadian found inside rented home in Calatagan

A Canadian was found dead inside his rented home in Calatagan, Batangas.

According to the report on "Saksi" of GMA Regional TV Balitang Southern Tagalog's Denise Abante, the victim was identified as Steve Fiorito.

His body was reportedly already in a state of decomposition.

Police investigators said his remains bore no injury or gunshot wound.

The body will remain at the funeral home while the investigation is ongoing.

"According po sa mga kapitbahay, four to five days ay hindi na nila napapansin doon sa labas 'yung Canadian national," said Police Major Emil Mendoza, chief of the Calatagan Police Station.

"Then... nag-report na po 'yung mga kapitbahay at 'yung may-ari ng bahay," he added. —NB, GMA Integrated News
