Two killed, one critical as stepdad stabs children in Davao Oriental

Two children died while another is in critical condition after their stepfather stabbed them while they were sleeping on Wednesday before dawn in Davao Oriental.

According to the report on Super Radyo dzBB of Super Radyo Davao's Jaycel Villacorte, the victims in Barangay San Jose in Caraga were aged 10, seven, and five.

Police Maj. Marcille Manzano, chief of the Caraga Police station, said the suspect used a kitchen knife when he attacked the sleeping victims.

The 10-year-old died on the spot while the five-year-old died in the hospital. The seven-year-old is in critical condition.

The stepfather who also stabbed himself is also in guarded condition in the hospital.

The children's mother was out of the house when the stabbing happened.
