Over P10M worth of ‘shabu’ found in Quezon restaurant’s restroom

More than P10 million worth of suspected shabu was found inside a restroom of a fast food restaurant in Candelaria, Quezon on Thursday, the Quezon Police Provincial Office said Friday.

In a statement, Quezon Police chief Police Colonel Ledon Monte said around 511.50 grams of suspected shabu were recovered, with an estimated street value of P10,434,600.

Monte said the perpetrators left the shabu in the restroom possibly because some police officers entered the restaurant to eat.

Authorities are now reviewing the CCTV footage of the restaurant to identify the perpetrators.

Monte thanked the staff and the management of the restaurant for their proper and immediate response to the incident. — Joviland Rita/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
