Magnitude 5.0 earthquake hits South Cotabato

A magnitude 5.0 earthquake hit southwest of Surallah in South Cotabato early Saturday morning, PHIVOLCS reported.

The quake, which occurred at 3:13 a.m. at a depth of kilometers, was tectonic in origin.

The earthquake was also felt in the following areas:

• Intensity IV- Surallah, Banga, Tampakan, Tupi, T'Boli, and City of Koronadal, South Cotabato; Maasim, Alabel, Glan, and Malapatan, Sarangani; General Santos City
• Intensity III- Lake Sebu, South Cotabato; Malungon, Sarangani
• Intensity II- Maitum, Sarangani
