Magnitude 5.5 quake hits off coast of Sarangani, Davao Occidental

A magnitude 5.5 earthquake occurred southeast of Balut Island, the municipality of Sarangani in Davao Occidental early Tuesday morning, PHIVOLCS reported.

The quake occurred at 1:59 a.m., with depth of 15 kilometers, and tectonic in origin.

PHIVOLCS also reported that there is no damage expected but aftershocks may occur. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
