60K students in 25 provinces receive school bags from GMA Kapuso Foundation

A total of 60,000 students from 25 provinces in the country received school bags with school supplies from the GMA Kapuso Foundation.

According to a report on "24 Oras," Monday, this is under the Unang Hakbang sa Kinabukasan Project.

The beneficiaries include students from the following provinces: Abra, Agusan Del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Antique, Apayao, Bukidnon, Cagayan, Cotabato City, Davao Occidental, Eastern Samar, Isabela, Lanao del Norte, Maguindanao, Marinduque, Mountain Province, Negros Oriental, North Cotabato, Oriental Mindoro, Polillo Islands, Romblon, Samar, Sultan Kudarat, Sulu, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur.

"Ito po ay kabawan na rin sa pinagkakagastusan ng mga magulang na nagsusumikap na matustusan ang pag-aaral ng kanilang mga anak," said Melanie Mendoza, Senior Education Program Specialist for Social Mobilization and Networking, Department of Education Marinduque.
