Over 24k students in Luzon receive gifts from GMA Kapuso Foundation

A total of 24,024 students from 10 provinces in Luzon received gift packs from GMA Kapuso Foundation through its Give-a-Gift Alay sa Batang Pinoy project.

According to a report on "24 Oras," Thursday, among the many who received gifts from the initiative was the grandchild of Kalinga resident Anita Dumayag.

Jar-making is the common source of income of women in their hometown, and Anita was able to support the education of her children and grandchild through this livelihood,

"Malaking tulong sa akin ang paggawa ng mga banga. Dito ako kumukuha ng pangbili ng kagamitan sa kusina at para sa edukasyon din ng mga bata," she said.

Kalinga was also among the places heavily affected by Typhoon Egay.

GMA Kapuso Foundation immediately sent help to the province through Operation Bayanihan and soon went back to Kalinga to give gifts to the students.

A Give-A-Gift program was also conducted in Albay, Oriental Mindoro, Ilocos Norte, La Union, and Ilocos Sur, among others.

"Giving to children is really very important. It adds to their self-esteem. Thank you so much, GMA Kapuso Foundation," DepEd Kalinga Schools Division Superintendent Natividad Bayubay said.

For those who want to take part in GMA Kapuso Foundation's initiatives, you may send your donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
