PCG assists motor boat that ran aground in Bolinao, Pangasinan

The Philippine Coast Guard assisted a motor boat that ran aground in in the waters off Bolinao, Pangasinan on Wednesday.

According to a statement on Thursday, moto boat Jovel II - 820 encountered engine trouble and dropped anchor at the vicinity waters of Coco Beach Resort in Barangay Ilog Malino, Bolinao.

However, the shackle of the anchor broke, causing the vessel to run aground.

The Coast Guard Sub-Station Bolinao responded to a distress call immediately to provide assistance and conduct an investigation into the incident. — Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/BM, GMA Integrated News
