Car involved in hit-and-run of Cebu basketball player now in police custody
The vehicle of the driver who hit and left a basketball player dead in the vicinity of Redemptorist Church in Barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City, is now at the Guadalupe Police Station.
The suspect turned over the sports utility vehicle with blinkers to policemen pending an investigation.
Jeslar Uriel Larumbe, 23 years old, a two-time Most Valuable Player of the Don Bosco Greywolves (basketball team of Don Bosco Technical College-Cebu), died in the morning of February 4 after he was hit by the vehicle. The SUV driver allegedly did not stop to check on his condition.
Larumbe was onboard his motorcycle when the incident happened.
