Marcos vows Caraga development under 'Bagong Pilipinas'

President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. vowed that the resource rich Caraga Region would be developed under his administration's Bagong Pilipinas policy.

In his speech during the distribution of land titles to agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs), Marcos committed the government to pursuing development programs for the Caraga Region.

“Nandirito ako ngayon upang magbigay ng aking matibay na garantiya na sa Bagong Pilipinas, ito ang ating puspusang gagawin: Develop Dinagat, Sulong Surigao, Abante Agusan. Hindi lang po ng pamahalaan pero nating lahat,” Marcos said.

(I am here to firmly guarantee that under the Bagong Pilipinas, these will be accomplished: Develop Dinagat, Sulong Surigao, and Abante Agusan. It's not just the government but all of us.)

“I make that vow because as a region rich in resources, you do not only deserve it. Above all, it is a shared responsibility we owe to our children, a deliverable to the next generation that we cannot fail,” he added.

Meanwhile, Marcos distributed more than 3,000 land titles to beneficiaries in the region under the Land Reform Program.

The President mentioned that the distribution of land titles was part of the government’s unwavering commitment to free farmers from hunger, poverty, and debt, as he stressed that farmers must be “unshackled from debt, freed from high inputs, and relieved of constraints that impoverish them.”

He also led the ceremonial turn-over of land farm machinery and Equipment (FMEs) and the ribbon cutting of the farm-to-market roads (FMRs) markers in Agusan Del Sur.
