Balikbayan mother and daughter found dead after luggage float in river

A mother and daughter who had been missing for almost a month were found dead, buried in the backyard of a family member.

According to a report on "24 Oras," the victims had just come home from Japan.

The two went missing on February 21, 2024.

Their suitcases were first seen floating in the river in Tayabas, Quezon.

The authorities discovered that their items were bloodied when the suitcases were opened.

Further investigation showed that the ground behind the house of the mother's sibling was soft.

Their remains were found after the soil was dug.

The victim's sibling is now considered the person of interest and is in the custody of police. —NB, GMA Integrated News
