2 dead, 4 injured from electrocution in Masbate

Two construction workers died while four others were injured after being electrocuted in Barangay Dapdap, Uson, Masbate.

Based on the police report, the victims were working on a road construction project and were aboard a boom truck when the truck hit a telecom post

This caused the truck to make contact with a live wire from the Masbate Electric Cooperative (MASELCO), resulting in the workers getting electrocuted.

The two workers died at the scene while the four injured were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The construction company has covered the hospital expenses of the injured workers and the funeral expenses for the deceased.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident, as of this writing, to determine who will be held accountable.

“So far po i-[wait] po natin kung ano ang resulta ng investigation, kasi under investigation pa po hanggang ngayon,” PMAJ. Maria Luisa Tiño, Public Information Officer of Masbate Police Provincial Office, said.—GMA Regional TV
