Power interruptions in parts of Quezon, Rizal, Bulacan, and Laguna on May 25, 26

Parts of Quezon, Rizal, Bulacan, and Laguna provinces will experience power service interruptions on May 25 and 26 due to scheduled maintenance activities.

In an advisory posted on its website, Manila Electric Company (Meralco) said it will be replacing a leaning pole and low sagging wires along Tayabas-Mauban National Road in Barangay Palale Silangan, Tayabas City, Quezon Province.

Affected between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. of May 25 are:

• Portion of Tayabas-Mauban National Road from Barrio’s House of Bulalo to and including Sitio Pinagbanderahan and Sitio Italan in Barangay Palale Silangan.

There will be replacement of poles and line reconductoring works along Montana Drive in Barangay Burgos, Rodriguez, Rizal Province on May 25.

Affected between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. are:

• Portion of Montana Drive from A. Mabini Street to and including Metro Royale Subdivision, Montavilla Subdivision, Metro Montana Subdivision, and King David Subdivision in Barangay Burgos.

Meralco will also be conducting replacement of pole, line reconductoring works, and installation of additional lightning protection devices along Iglesia Ni Cristo Street in Barangay Sta. Rosa 2, Marilao, Bulacan on May 25.

There is no information yet on the time and affected area.

Meanwhile, there will be relocation of primary facilities affected by DPWH road widening project along Mayapa Road in Barangay Mayapa, Calamba City, Laguna on May 26.

Affected area between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. are:  

• Portion of Mayapa Road from Meralco-Canlubang substation to and including Sto. Domingo, Savio, and Lourdes Streets; Salcedo Subdivision and St. Christopher 2 Subdivision in Barangays. Mayapa and Canlubang.
• Portion of Camp Vicente Lim Compound including Camp Vicente Lim Integrated High School in Barangay Mayapa.
