Man killed by drinking buddy in Pangasinan

A man was killed by his drinking buddy in Bani, Pangasinan, GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon's Russel Simorio reported Tuesday on 24 Oras.

In a video, the suspect was seen standing at the side of the road in Barangay Tiep when he approached the victim and shot him.

The suspect then walked away while the victim fell to the ground.

According to the police, the 48-year-old victim was declared dead on arrival when he was brought to hospital.

The victim, who was a resident of Barangay Concordia, was shot in the chest.

According to investigators, the two men had argued while drinking.

“Nagkaroon sila ng away, pagbalik, may dala na. Naglakad lang ayon sa mga  witnesses,” said Bani Deputy Police Chief Police Lieutenant Lorenzo delos  Santos Jr.

(They argued. When the suspect returned, he brought a gun. According to witnesses, the suspect just  walked away after shooting the victim.)

Meanwhile, the police said they had identified the suspect.

“Continuous follow-up po ang ginagawa namin at naghahanap 'yung mga witnesses po para mai-file po 'yung case,” Santos said.
