Farmer allegedly killed by own carabao in Aklan

A 52-year old farmer is believed to have been killed by his carabao in Barangay Camanci in Batan, Aklan.

According to the report of Super Radyo Kalibo’s Darwin Tapayan, the victim’s head and body bore several injuries. His family said they found his remains next to a stream with his carabao nearby

The results of the post-mortem and autopsy examinations suggest the farmer could have been attacked by his carabao.

Police Captain Gilbert Batiles of Batan Municipal Police Station said they did not find any traces or evidence to indicate there was foul play.

Authorities added barangay and police records show the farmer was not involved in any troubles with other people.

The report added police have yet to close the investigation as the farmer’s family is not convinced with their initial findings. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
