NBI nabs woman, rescues 4 girls from prostitution in Pampanga
The National Bureau of Investigation has arrested a woman for allegedly offering girls as prostitutes in Angeles City, Pampanga.
According to the NBI on Tuesday, a non-government organization relayed information regarding the female suspect who peddled women, including 13- to 17-year-old girls, through social media for P3,000 to P5,000 each in Pampanga and other nearby provinces.
A poseur-client then communicated with the suspect, who sent photos of the women through Messenger.
During the surveillance operation, she introduced two minors and offered to bring more girls if asked.
On July 18, the suspect was arrested in an entrapment operation at a mall in Angeles City after accepting P12,000 as payment for the four girls, who were also rescued during the operation.
The suspect faces charges of violating the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse of Children and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse Materials, Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, and Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
