Headless body of missing man found in Misamis Oriental

Authorities found the headless body of a missing man in Claveria, Misamis Oriental, according to a “Saksi” report.

Police said the 19-year-old suspect surrendered and confessed he killed the 36-year-old victim, who was missing for three weeks.

The suspect also pointed to where he buried the victim in a remote location after fatally stabbing him, but denied he decapitated him.  

According to the suspect, he killed the victim after they argued during a drinking session.

“Posibilidad na may alitan na sila dati pang mga panyayari, dahil itong biktima parang live-in [partner] niya kasi ang kapatid ng suspek at doon nakikita ng suspek ang sinasabing panggugulpi na ginagawa ng biktima sa kanyang kapatid,” Police Regional Office -10 spokesperson P/Major Joann Navarro.

(It is possible that they had had a disagreement before the incident, because the victim is the live-in partner of the suspect’s sister, and the suspect knows that the victim is beating her.)
