Green sea turtle trapped in Sorsogon fishpen, gets rescued

A juvenile green sea turtle was rescued after it was trapped in a fish pen in Magallanes, Sorsogon.

The turtle measures 43 cm in length and 38 cm in width.

The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) found the turtle to be in good health. It was released back to the sea immediately.

Authorities continue to urge the public to report any sightings of sea turtles or other wildlife species to ensure they are handled properly and returned to their habitat. —GMA Regional TV
