Baguio councilor drowns in La Union

SAN FERNANDO CITY - A barangay (village) councilor from Baguio drowned in the waters of La Union Saturday afternoon, police said Sunday. The body of Alberto W. Sawali, a barangay kagawad of Bakakeng in Baguio, was found in Nalvo Sur, Luna town soon after his relatives called for help, said Police Supt. Pedro Obaldo Jr. Obaldo also said that Sawali's body was immediately brought to Baguio. The heat in Baguio (and unexpected rains) brought Baguio residents to the beaches of La Union. - GMANews.TV
