Banana plantation manager shot dead in Sarangani

A 45-year-old man who got promoted as manager of a banana plantation was shot dead in Alabel, Sarangani.

Police said the victim was on his way to work at that time on board his motorcycle when he was shot by the assailant who was following him.

The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the head and in the body from a .45-cal. pistol.

Investigators said the killing may have something to do with his work.

Police are pursuing the perpetrator, as of this writing, while the investigation into the case is ongoing.

"Based sa information conducted based sa revelation sa wife sa victim, nakita namo ang usa ka anggulo is work-related," Alabel municipal station police chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Reynaldo Delantein, said. — GMA Regional TV
