LTO issues preventive suspension of MPV driver's license after hitting enforcer in Bulacan

LTO issues preventive suspension vs. MPV driver who hit enforcer in Bulacan

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) issued a three-month preventive suspension of an MPV driver's license after hitting a traffic enforcer in Santa Maria, Bulacan earlier this month.

According to a dzBB report by Glen Juego on Tuesday, LTO Chief of the Intelligence and Investigation Division Renante Melitante said the suspension will be active while the investigation on the incident is ongoing.

He also clarified that the suspension was not a punishment for what the driver did.

The incident occurred last January 14 after the vehicle was caught hitting the enforcer at an intersection in Bulacan.

The impact was so strong that the victim was knocked off his post and had to be rushed to the hospital.

Initial investigation showed that the driver, who had been arrested, was exhausted from his trip to Manila. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/BAP, GMA Integrated News
