PDLs, personnel celebrate Feast of Sto. Niño in Davao Penal Farm


Persons deprived of liberty and Davao Prison and Penal Farm personnel celebrated the Feast of Santo Niño from January 12 to 18.

Persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) and Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF) personnel celebrated the Feast of Santo Niño from January 12 to 18.

In a statement released by the Bureau of Corrections on Wednesday, the penal farm hosted several festivities to mark the event.

A mass was also held on January 18, the feast day of Santo Niño.

Meanwhile, free medical services like laboratory tests and surgery were offered for PDLs at the Christ the King Medical Center in Tagum City under the initiative of Bishop Medil Aseo.

The Feast of Santo Niño is held on the third Sunday of January and is celebrated in several different areas nationwide.

Over 4 million people attended Cebu’s Sinulog Festival in particular, while processions were also held in Aklan and Tondo, Manila.
