Man shoots neighbor dead over fight between pet birds in Aklan

A 46-year-old man was shot dead by his neighbor following a fight between their pet duck and chicken in Barangay Pusiw in Numancia, Aklan.

According to a report by Darwin Tapayan of Barangay RU 92.9 Super Radyo Kalibo on Tuesday, the local police said the tension between the two intoxicated men began when the victim’s pet duck allegedly attacked the suspect’s chicken, leading to a confrontation.

The suspect left but returned with a gun that he used to shoot the victim twice in the chest.

The victim was rushed to the hospital but died while being treated.

A follow up operation led to the suspect’s arrest. He will face the appropriate charges. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
