Magnitude 5.4 earthquake hits Matanao, Davao del Sur

A magnitude 5.4 earthquake rocked Matanao, Davao del Sur on Tuesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said.

The earthquake occurred at 9:42 a.m. at a depth of 10 km, PHIVOLCS added.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located at 6.69°N, 125.20°E - 002 km S 42° W of Matanao.

PHIVOLCS said damage and aftershocks are expected. —KG, GMA Integrated News
