8 minors, 6 others rescued from online prostitution in Rizal

Authorities rescued 14 women, including eight minors, from online prostitution in Rizal.

According to John Consulta’s exclusive report on “24 Oras” on Friday, the two pimps were arrested in separate operations by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Rizal District Office on Thursday.

“Itong mga perpetrators, mayroon silang binuong GC. So doon nakikipag-transact. Nagpapadala ng pictures ng mga babae for prostitution,” said Marvin De Jemil of NBI Rizal.

(These perpetrators have a group chat where they do their transactions. It is also where they send the photos for the ladies for prostitution.)

The victims hail from Caloocan City and Binangonan, Rizal.

The NBI Rizal also found out that one of the victims was already rescued before in another operation.

“We discovered that one of the victims that we rescued was also the one we rescued during our previous operation. So bumalik sa dating trabaho (So she returned to doing such a job),” said De Jemil.

The suspects will face charges of qualified trafficking that is punishable with up to a P5 million fine and life imprisonment.

“Kailangan lang po talaga. Alam ko pong mali. Sobra pong pagsisisi, kapag nakalaya po ako, hindi na ako babalik sa ganito,” the female pimp said.

(I just needed to do it. I know it’s wrong. But I sincerely regret it, and I promise that I will not resort again to such activity if I am released.)

“Hindi ko po alam na ganito ang mangyayari,” the male suspect said.

(I did not expect that it would reach this point.)

The NBI said that the victims will undergo counseling. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/VBL, GMA Integrated News
