Misamis Oriental Gov. Peter Unabia apologizes for BARMM comments

Misamis Oriental Governor Peter Unabia has apologized for his remarks regarding the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao or BARMM.

Unabia spoke with Muslim leaders at an interfaith council in Cagayan de Oro City. 

During the meeting, an agreement was made to further strengthen understanding to maintain peace in the area.

Unabia became controversial after mentioning the bombings in BARMM and apparently linking the Maranaos to election-related harassment. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
