3 cops in Davao Oriental test positive for illegal drug use

At least three police officers in Davao Oriental have tested positive for illegal drug use during a random drug test.

According to the Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11), these police officers have the rank of staff sergeant, corporal, and patrolman assigned at the Provincial Intelligence Unit and Provincial Mobile Force Company.

Per policy, the three were placed under restrictive custody and may face administrative charges.

PRO-11 said the random drug test is in line with its ongoing internal cleansing campaign to ensure a drug-free police force.

“This is a reminder that internal cleansing is a shared responsibility. Our goal is not just to detect violations, but to help our personnel stay on the right track. We continue to uphold the highest standards of service while also providing opportunities for growth within our ranks,” PRO-11 said. —GMA Regional TV
