Final sealing of ACMs in Zamboanga Sibugay voting center suspended following encounter

The final testing and sealing of automated counting machines (ACMs) at a voting center in Zamboanga Sibugay was suspended after an encounter occurred between the military and unidentified armed men, Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman George Garcia said Wednesday.

Garcia did not mention during the Kapihan sa Manila Bay what town was affected, according to a report by Manny Vargas on Super Radyo dzBB.

He however said the final testing and sealing of ACMs was halted to ensure the safety of Comelec employees and those witnessing the event. —KG, GMA Integrated News
