Fire in Tuy, Batangas put out - BFP
The large fire in Tuy, Batangas, that broke out on Friday had been put out on Saturday morning.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection Calabarzon, the fire occurred at 11:01 a.m. on Friday in Barangay Guinhawa.
The fire reportedly involved the Philippine Fiber Optics Cable Network storage facility and spanned 7,500 square meters.
The fire was raised to the first alarm at 11:05 a.m. on Friday and reached the fourth alarm by 1:10 p.m.
It was declared under control at 2:43 p.m. and officially put out at 11:40 a.m. on Saturday.
The fire took 20 fire trucks to put out and had affected two houses and 14 individuals from two families.
No casualties or injuries were reported.
''The coordinated efforts of the responders ensured that the situation was managed effectively despite the extensive damage. An incident command post was also established 100 meters from the fire scene to facilitate ongoing operations and ensure the safety of all personnel involved,'' the BFP Calabarzon said.
