1 dead, 10 hurt after van collides with bus in Antique

One driver died while 10 others were injured after a passenger van crashed into a bus in Pandan, Antique.

According to John Consulta’s Thursday report on “24 Oras,” CCTV footage showed the van traversing a wet and slippery road when it overshot a turn and crossed into the opposite lane where it crashed into an approaching bus.

After the collision, the wayward bus crashed into a house.

The bus driver said he was caught off guard since it was his first time to experience a road accident.

“Hindi ko kasi mapihit ang manibela kasi parang nag lock (I was not able to steer since the steering wheel suddenly locked),” the bus driver said.

GMA Integrated News is seeking comment from the victims and the van driver’s family.
