Jellyfish sting kills 5-year-old girl in Quezon

A five-year-old girl died after she was stung by a box jellyfish while swimming in a beach resort in Buenavista, Quezon.

According to a “24 Oras” report on Tuesday, the girl was swimming with her aunt when she was stung on her arm and hands.

The girl received first-aid treatment but eventually passed away.

Authorities reminded the public to take extra precautions when swimming in the sea. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BAP, GMA Integrated News
