Power bank catches fire, explodes at Roxas Airport


A passenger's power bank caught fire and exploded at the Roxas Airport in Capiz.

According to a report on "Saksi," a power bank used to charge mobile phones sparked and eventually caught fire during an inspection of a passenger bound for Manila.

The fire was quickly extinguished, and no one was injured in the incident.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines said the power bank exceeded the 160-watt-hour allowable capacity on aircraft. –NB, GMA Integrated News
