Marcos leads inauguration of valor clinic in Batangas

President Ferdinand ''Bongbong'' Marcos Jr. on Friday led the inauguration of the Valor Access to Lifetime Optimized Health Care Program (Valor) Clinic in Lipa, Batangas.

The said facility is situated in the Fernando Air Base. Marcos visited the area together with Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr.

The Valor Clinic is a project initiated by the Veterans Memorial Medical Center to extend its services to the different areas across the country, including those outside the National Capital Region.

Through this initiative, more veterans and the dependents will be able to avail the medical services that they deserve. This will also decongest the number of patients being seen in their main hospital.

The medical facility will provide out-patient based services manned by the personnel and staff of the VMMC.

It will offer basic consultation, diagnostic examinations, as well as pharmacy services. The facility features patient waiting area, outpatient consultation rooms, pharmacy unit, blood extraction area, staff pantry and support area, and dedicated teleconsultation facility.

Atty. Claire Castro, Valor Clinics will also be established in Fort Bonifacio General Hospital in Taguig City, the Northern Luzon Command in Tarlac province and the Southern Luzon Command in Lucena.

The second and third phases of the Valor Health Network program will be done from 2026 to 2028.

Castro said the President also wants active-duty soldiers to benefit from this project. She said Marcos also tasked the Department of National Defense and the Department of Budget and Management to ensure sufficient funds for this program. — Anna Felicia Bajo/ RSJ/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
