Motorcycle rider dead after falling into large hole in Cotabato

A motorcycle rider died after he fell into a large hole along a portion of a road that is being repaired in Makilala, Cotabato. 

According to a report in “State of the Nation” on Thursday, the victim traveling at night when he initially hit the installed barrier before falling into the hole. 

Authorities recovered the victim’s motorcycle but has yet to find the remains of the who victim could have drowned in the water-filled hole.

As a safety measure, police said they expect the Department of Public Works and Highways to put up reflectorized signages at the road repair site. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
