Lola caught on video submerging grandson in floodwaters in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu

A woman was caught on video repeatedly submerging her grandson into murky floodwaters in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

According to a “24 Oras” report on Wednesday, the video showed that the 12-year-old boy was crying and pleading while his grandmother continued to submerge him into the water.

The woman eventually released the boy, who immediately fled.

According to the investigation, the incident occurred last March, but the video was just recently uploaded.

The woman told the Lapu-Lapu City Social Welfare and Development Office that she was just imposing discipline on her grandson, who was still swimming in the flood despite being prohibited from doing so.

She expressed regret for her actions.
