3 dead as truck falls off cliff in Zamboanga del Sur

Three people died after their truck fell off a 10-meter deep cliff in Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur.

According to Efren Mamac’s Wednesday report on “Saksi,” police said the self-loading truck fell into the ravine after the driver lost control while navigating a curved portion of the mountain road.

Three passengers, including the driver, were pinned inside the overturned vehicle.

Two of the victims were rescued after several hours but eventually passed away, while the other died at the scene of the accident.

Meanwhile, two other passengers sustained injuries after they were able to jump off the truck.

The truck company owner said he will shoulder the victim’s funeral and medical expenses.
